July Wrap Up

So August is here.  Does anyone else feel that this year is running way from them?  At the moment it feels like everytime I look at my watch the day has changed. If you have been following me on twitter you will know I am now a year out from getting married, and I am realising just how much we have left to do.

So this month I felt like I wasn’t reading many books, that is certainly true however I did manage to read 1384 pages, it was just finishing books that I have been having difficulty doing. This month I only finished two books, one of which only had 50 pages left when I picked it up.

The Lost Hero, Book 1 of the Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick RIordan Book Cover

I think my favourite book that I finished this month was The Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan, it was also the only book that I read in its entirety during July. I am not sure why I am having such difficulty with finishing books. I have read the majority of the Name of the Wind, I am aiming to finish this during August.

My First review of the month was  Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian which is the final book of the Percy Jackson series.

I also reviewed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban which while I love the book it disappointed me.

My final review of the month was The Lost Hero the first book in the Heroes of Olympus Series.

This month I also shared What I think about Fanfiction as I realised mid-month ath I was reading more fanfiction than books.

I completed a Series Review on the Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan.

I shared my issues with series binging, which if you have been following me for a few months you may have noticed the pattern of me reading chunks of series, or series in its entirety all at once.

I also shared 5 Reasons to be Happy you are a Hufflepuff which I think is a Harry Potter house which I think is underrated.

So that is my wrap up for what I wrote and read this month.  I am aiming to finish four books in August.

The Name of the Wind which I only have 180 pages left, and I am hoping that I will get my hands on the sequels for this book as the final book of the trilogy is released next month.

I am also going to finish Skullduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy.  I may finish the Shadow Hunter books as well as I started these near the beginning of the year and it is starting to upset me that I haven’t completed the series.

What are your reading  plans for this month? Let me know in the comments below.
